This year, Reach Youth Ministry received two grants from Central Washington Catholic Foundation.
In fall 2008, Reach received a $1,500.00 grant to purchase two new laptops. With this addition, Reach is now more efficient and effective in communication. Providing for a well managed staff allows Reach Teams to better serve the community through their service in retreats.
The second grant received in spring 2009, with $1,200.00 awarded, Reach enrolled in the VIRTUS® Online Program. It is a nationally recognized safe environment certification and training program for all Church volunteers. This program will be used to train the 2009-2010 Reach staff and volunteers; guaranteeing that we are up to date with protocol and aware of warning signs of abuse and abusers. The VIRTUS® Online Program includes a continuing education component of a monthly online training. A Special thanks to Central Washington Catholic Foundation for their support!

Benefit Dinner Update
This year, our Annual Reach Benefit Dinner was held at the beautiful Le Chateau in downtown Yakima. The Benefit Dinner was a success with $25,800.00 raised. We added a few new monthly sponsors and new supporters of Reach. This is an encouraging start in fulfilling our financial goals. It was a wonderful evening with wine, good food and great fellowship all in celebration of Reach’s Mission and ministry!
